CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

A month before the 25th of December, all the towns put up their lights to brighten up the streets with Christmas spirit. In Barcelona, for example, they hung up and turned on stars and other shapes related to Christmas. You could recognise "El Corte Inglés" from miles away because you're not going to find an empty space without a light.

However, in Figueres Christmas is experienced in a different way. If you walk through "La Rambla" you're not going to find stars. Instead you'll see giant ants climbing the trees. And in the middle of some streets there're Christmas trees made of butterflies.
Figueres use those lights for a reason: to promote a very famous artist known arround the world: Salvador Dalí. Dalí once made postcards with strange drawings and Figueres decided to turn them into Christmas lights. I grew up looking at those strange lights and I didn't find them particulary pretty. They were strange. It wasn't until this year that someone told me what they meant and now I think that the idea was very original. And it's obvious that they're from Dalí!

To make the most of the idea of the lights, they offer a guided visit through the streets of Figueras and they explain the meaning of each light.

Here's all the lights that they created:

HOW WE HAVE CHANGED

Sinc the day we started preschool until now, some of us have been friends. So this year is the last course that we're going to do together. It's sad to not continue with them last year. We've all changed, we've not been in the same class always, and perhaps we weren't that close five years ago. Yet we have seen each other every day trough seventeen years.
Everyone will go in different places next year, so perhaps that's the reason why we're usually remembering moments of our childhood and sharing them with friends. At first we couldn't remember a lot of things but the fact of sharing them made us remember moments we completely forgot about. Sharing other peoples' version of a moment made us realise how much our attitude has changed.

I'm still pretty shy, but when I was little I was EXTREMELY shy. And I was always crying (unfortunately, everybody remembers that). I guess that you stop being shy when yoy get older, but it's weird to think that you weren't always like the person you are now and after all, you're always you (but changing). In primary I wouldn't go to school if I hadn't had my hair in a ponytail and wearing sweatpants and now I'm the opposite!

I also remember how other friends had changed: Tània was as shy as I was, and Miquel was a little bit bossy. But Jana and Edith, I remember them being exactly the same as they are now!

INCEPTION

Inception is my favourite movie. The director is Christopher Nolan, and the cast is pretty famous: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, ...
If I had to classify the movie in a category I would choose between action and those kind of movies that make you think. And I have to admit, that one of the reasons why I love this film is because DiCaprio, Hardy and Gordon-Levitt are a part of the main characters and I really love how they role in the film.

The plot is about a man with a sad story behind him and he's trying to scape from it. Nevertheless he can't, mainly because he's forced to continue working so he will be able to solve his problems and to go back with his family.
His job isn't quite normal. It consists to enter into someonelses' dream, so he will be able to change memories and decisions or even more dangerous: to put a new idea into a mind of someone to make it look like the person who's dreaming is having the idea.
That's what is called "Inception" and the man and his team would have to invent a really good plan to achieve it.

It's an energetic film with a lot of ups and downs with amazing actors who play the characters perfectly and with an incredible soundtrack. All those things combined create a suspense that lasts until the film ends.

I really love the soundtrack, there're two pieces which are my favourite ones:
  1. The Time, by Hans Zimmer is a very peaceful song. (Hans Zimmer is the composer of the soundtracks of Impossible Mission II, Pearl Harbor, Gladiator, Batman, Pirates of the Caribean, Sherlock Holmes, and more!).

      2. Non, je ne regrette rien, by Edith Piaf. That song has an important meaning in the course of the film and usually after watching I sang it unconciously. I choose a video with some clips of the movie:
